All municipalities in the Netherlands have been required by the WMO to offer independent client support since 2015. Research by the municipality of Amsterdam has shown that many Amsterdam residents are not aware of this form of support.
The Amsterdam organizations that offer independent client support want to do something about this. To bring this free support to the attention of all Amsterdam residents, we started a campaign and developed the website deondersteunersvanamsterdam.nl for all information about independent client support. In addition to practical information, the website also features stories from Amsterdam residents about their experiences with independent client support.
